Privacy Policy
We treat your writing the way we'd want our own writing treated: privately, carefully, and only used to serve you.
Private by default
Your drafts and rewrites are never used to train any model — ours or a third party's.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All content is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted on managed infrastructure.
Minimal data, deletable on request
We collect only what's needed to run your account. You can request deletion at any time.
What we collect
Account essentials: your email, display name, and authentication identifiers. Product data: the drafts you submit, the rewrites we return, and the settings you choose (tone, audience, voice profiles). Usage signals: anonymous counters that help us improve product quality and monitor abuse.
How we use it
- To generate rewrites you've asked for.
- To personalize your defaults (recent tones, audiences, voice profiles).
- To debug issues and protect the service from abuse.
- To send transactional emails — receipts, password resets, account notices.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your content to train any AI model.
Who processes your data
Rewrites are generated by Google’s Gemini API. Your text is sent to Google for the duration of the request and is handled under Google’s published Gemini API terms. We do not hold a separately negotiated zero-retention contract, and we would rather tell you that than imply one. Account and rewrite history are stored in Supabase, which holds SOC 2 Type II certification. The application itself runs on a virtual private server, which carries no certification of its own.
Retention
Rewrites are stored in your private history so you can review and reuse them. You can delete any rewrite individually, or request deletion of your entire account and all associated content at any time.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time. EU and UK users have full GDPR rights; California residents have full CCPA rights. To exercise any of these, email privacy@rewriteaiforme.com.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for authentication and basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Children
RewriteAIForMe is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify active users by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
